Happy New Year to one and all.

We will flying down to Baton Rouge, LA and driving back to Sierra Vista, AZ with our new Mini in late Feb or early March, can anyone reccomend the best bra for these cars? ( factory clear, or vinyl, Moss product, or Mini Mania,) also would like to know if a skid plate would be a neccessary for this trip as I would not want anything from road debris to cause my new arrival any probless?

If you do anything use the clear vinyl. Unless the dealer will get this done before you pick up the car this sin't an option.
The cloth bra will just eat the paint up in the long run. Maybe for just the drive home if it would make you feel better. Long term I've seen what they do to paint, not pretty.

I am assuming from your posting that this car will be a "show" car and that you don't intend to drive it much. If you want to keep it pristine for that purpose then I would suggest that you don't drive it back across country at all but rather you ship it in an enclosed truck.
Then again if I have mis-read you and your just paranoid about that first scratch, like all the rest of us, then I can only offer this advice: Go bra-less, take a deep breath when you see that first blemish and ENJOY the car!

If its jut to go home, just get a black leather braw, but take it off asap when you get home and make sure to clean and wax that area when you take it off.

If you need something for the long run, get vinal, ive seen it up close, and you can't even notice it.
