I really want to get the chrome grill kit for my S. I know that you can order the parts thru the dealer, but I was wondering where else I can get them?
I found these on Ebay-- has anyone used/ seen these-- how do they look? (I think they are just "caps" for the factory grill-- is there one out there that replaces the factory ones?)

I ordered the chrome grille pieces from the dealership and put them on myself. There's lots of info on how to do it here and at other sites. It cost me about $90 US to get the pieces and about an hour of my time. About half of that hour was spent on getting the glue off from the lower piece once I had peeled it off the car.

IMHO, the pieces advertised on the ebay links look pretty cheap comparitively. They don't cover the entire grille, so they looked tacked on (literally). The OEM part, to me, is worth the added cost.

My suggestion is to get the proper Cooper S chrome grille parts from a MINI dealer, otherwise the result will just not look "right". The pieces from the dealer are not too expensive and worth it IMO.
