I hit a big piece of unavoidable road debris on the freeway, back in late November. It cracked the bumper around the foglight, took out a piece of the black spoiler and put a nice 7" gouge in my door. I was sick when I saw the damage. I was even sicker when I saw the 4 door Saturn (with roll up windows) that the rental car place gave me to use during the repairs.

I dropped my car off at the BMW dealer on Dec 1, and didn't get it back until the 31st. The bill ended up being around $2500, but insurance covered all but the $500 deductable. The good news is that they did a great job and it looks like new. I'm soooo glad to have my car back. Driving the Saturn really sucked !

To celebrate, I had the windows tinted. I had them install medium tint on all 5 windows. It looks cool and it's still easy to see out at night. While I was in the upgrade mood, I added the 'S' style filler cap, the aux input jack and hooked up the rear fogs lights as extra brake lights.

Today, I took a well deserved drive up Sunrise Highway here in San Diego County. Here's a photo of my Mini showing the tints. There are a few more images in my gallery.

What do ya think ?

Nice looking MINI. The dark windows look great contrasting with the yellow paint.

I'm very happy with the way it turned out. I was afraid my night view would suffer, but it's just fine. They had 2 darker levels to choose from, but I didn't want the ghetto look.

What is the % of your tint??? It looks real dark, is that just the digital camera taking over?
