Springs and warranty dilemas...

Happy New Year one and all.

I am about to get my new Mini and had planned to lower it - today my dealer told me that some springs are not covered by Mini warranty, and therefore if they interfered with the wheels and cause any damage then I have to fork out - something I don't really want to do.

Does anyone know which springs are covered by BMW/Mini? And which aren't? What has everyone else done? Have you forfeited your TLC in order to lower your cars? Where can I find all this information out?????

Help needed please...?!

hey

i have just got some Eibachs fitted on the MINI and I know quite a few peeps here have them fitted already.
Not sure with the warranty issue but CoopRaNite has been in for the first service with an induction kit and Exhaust, came back with no problems.
I know dealers who are ok with mods will stress that TLC/Warranty will be void if any problems are found that directly relate to the changed part, this I can live with.

My dealer is far from good but the car does seem to drive better after the service even though it still rattles like a babies pram, i will get round to sorting this myself soon.

Doesn't MINI sell and warranty the A.C. Schnitzer springs over there? That was the impression I got from previous threads.

Are you positive that the Schnitzer springs are covered by warranty..? Have been advised by John Cooper that NO springs are covered at all, but that there are some new springs coming out when the convertible is released, which will be covered... Am meant to be hearing back from another main dealer today as he has springs fitted on all his demos!
