I am still awaiting the arrival of my MCS IB/W. I keep going back and forth whether I should buy the aerokit or just buy the black grill inserts for about 3% the cost. I was wondering if it was worth the cost to buy the aerokit even if I will have to wait awhile to get the money to buy it, and also if anyone was able to get their dealer to sell the kit to them for less than the $2070 they are asking (planning to do a self install).

I don't know where your dealer is, but Mini of Sterling (in Northern Virginia) is selling the aero kit for $1200. That, however, is minus paint and install. If you're planning to install it yourself, it might work out to be a little cheaper there. Also, a little while back they had a special 10% off deal going for the kit, but I don't know if that is still available.

I paid a ridiculous $3500 for installation. But what can I do? At least, if they mess up the job, I can demand compensation.
