United-States Rear Fog Lights

I read someplace that rear fog lights are now an option on American Minis. If that is the case, is it possible to install them on a 2002 Cooper?

Has anyone done this, and does anyone know the price/cost involved? The whole inactive rear fog lights have bothered me from the start, and if they can now be activated that would be nice.

Thanks.

There's a huge thread on it, you can search for it. Here's a quick summary.

Yes they're retrofitable. The part MSRP is $75 (its just the switch panel which includes rear fogs)

Then its installing the switch panel and plugging into the computer to activate them.

Suggested install time is .5 hours, but check with your dealer. You could also order the parts at a discount (like from classic mini www.driveclassic.com) and install them yourself, but depends if your dealer charges for programming.

They've been out for a few months now, so your dealer should know what's up.

Magic 8-ball was correct. All be in awe of Magic 8 ball.

The parts are ~$75 MSRP and activation is another ~$50 (varies greatly by dealer but should be 1/2 hour labor) If you do not install the switch bank yourself expect about another hour labor charged.

I had them installed a few weeks ago. $142 parts and labor.
