Offline | I've got them and am very happy with them - excellant light for around town but out on the highway the low beam (the xenon bit) seems to throw a little short. That said don't forget the high gadget factor with self-levelling lights and the pop-out headlight washer.......I love my headlight washer ![]() |

Offline | I have them also, and find they are great, a bit disappointing they only work on low beam IMHO the high beam is woeful considering the speed the MCS can do. The WOW factor with the lights from passengers etc is good too, but i do get an occasional flicker which i have not been able to understand, like they go off Xenon and back on again themselves. As for waiting for them, put it this way, think back 3 months, see how fast that has gone. So in 3 months time you could have have exactly what ypou wanted or in 3 months time already be driving a MCS which you wish had Xenons, too late once you have signed the dotted line. Vic |

Offline | If you're gonna keep the car for a few years, you don't want to have that feeling of regret every time you turn on your headlights... I'd wait. They are way cool ![]() I remember, back in the day (because I'm such an old fart hehehe), when they didn't even make new Cooper S's with xenons... mine was the first car that the dealer delivered that had them! ![]() |

| MINI Traitor | Yeah, that's right If I remember there were supply problems, and not everybody that ordered them were getting them. Mine was the first up this way too, a early June 02 build.I guess the difference then was that I had to wait NINE months and pay every dollar of full retail, whether we got xenons or not, and there was not the option for us of buying a stock car for 3-4k less than retail!! ![]() |
