Offline | Just fitted a set of clear / white rear lights to my Cooper. It looks like the puppies whatsits now. I also have the clear / white 3rd brake light, does any one know of an easy way of fitting it with out having to force the spoiler off ??!! The spoiler seems to be glued / taped in to position. I have removed by nuts but it won't shift. Don't want to force it too much and end up damaging my car. Any advice or experiences welcomed. Probably end up at the dealers tomorrow to be robbed !!?? Well at least ![]() ![]() ![]() Turpin wore a mask when he did it !!?? ![]() |

| Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Me! | I know me mate Zimbo on here did it... It's fairly easy to push out / pull in if there's two of you.. Mind you he did it by himself. You only have to pull the spoiler up enough for clearance... It *IS* possible without taking the spoiler off... unless of course you have the Aero Spoiler... that may be a different matter! ![]() ![]() |

Offline | Spent more than an hour last evening trying to get the rear spoiler on my Cooper (Chili Pack Type) to move so that I could fit the clear third brake light with out success. It just would not move. I am now thinking of ' tinting ' the third brake light darker so that it blends in more with the Cosmos black exterior. Any idea's or comments welcomed. |

| MINI2 Regular | Just be patient, I got mine in after about three attempts. You do have to apply a bit of pressure under the spoiler to achieve enough clearance and I literally yanked mine out, after working it out bit by bit. Once out it is a doddle to put back. |

Offline | My dealer had similar problems Gordo... in fact, they ordered a replacement spoiler as they thought it was gonna break when they pulled it off. In the end, they did just apply some brute force and the spoiler came off cleanly. He did fit the replacement spoiler though - as they sent him an aero spoiler by mistake, and they thought (quite rightly ) I'd rather have that than the standard one.I've also read here about those who simply flexed the middle of the underneath of the spoiler upwards to give enough clearance to get the white lights in... |
