Optical blue headlamp covers

I will be installing these headlamp covers from Lamin-x this weekend. I don't want to be faced with an expensive Xenon headlamp replacement. Anyone fellow Mini owners intstall a pair of these?

I know some who've installed the clear ones without problems.

Good to hear. I think it's a fairly new product and at $20 per lens, I consider it cheap insurance against a stone crack on the expensive lens assembly.

I'd go with clear ones, the tinted ones will reduce light output, and the bluer ("whiter") light
color may actually increase glare.

Are they proof against pheasants? We have had a pheasant through the grille, the headlamp, and through the windscreen. At different times of course, but no stone chips.

I have the clear protective lens covers , made by 3M , about 3mm thick soft plastic . they dont look good at first but after about a week they go completley clear. You have to use alochol (from chemist) and heat them up (with hair drier) to apply them (it makes it easier to put them on)
