Offline | I actually find that a damp sponge with water works really well on the dash board. Especially the BMW sponge as you can get it with it's raised bumps into the indicator cutouts, the cd, and the air con controls 1968 Mk1 Morris Cooper S 1310cc Downton Lake Green - White 1974 Leyland Mini 1098c Country Cream 2008 MINI Cooper S Chilli Pepper White - Black Roof |

Offline | I'm definitely not an expert -- not even a user yet, just ordered supplies yesterday -- but I based my order on the "prescription" that the website offered. It asked me a series of questions based on type of car, color, and my cleaning habits, and then "prescribed" particular products and usage and frequency. Seemed pretty cool. I took the suggestions, placed my order, and will give it a shot when they come in (car is only 1 day old. )![]() Look at that little S car go! [Sold 2/06] |

Offline | ok, this is based off my Honda Civic+Acura RL waxing experience, so there may be differences of opinion/reality. ......but, i found that the liquid Meg.'s Gold Wax worked better on the new car finish...........the Meg.'s Gold Wax hard(ie, tub-o-wax) worked well on the 5+ car finish. Their were real subtle differences in how long/well the wax lasted. The tub-o-wax kept the older finish looking better longer, but it also took longer to get it to that state. The liquid wax on the new finish was easier on/off with little difference in looks/beading then if I did the car with tub-o-wax. so if its a new car, i would say go with the liquid wax. (megiuars gold of course) IF you have leather interior, the meguiars gold leather protectant/cleaner did an excellent job.......i use it on my leather jackets from time to time ![]() I have not tried the zymol or some of the new(1-2 years new) products, but back in the day, Meg's Gold I found to be the best. as far as tire cleaners/shines, i am not a big fan of most................and I am still looking. I was fond of Turtle Wax's Tire Black because it lasted the longest..............but most of the tire products seemed to make the car slide a little more during rain storms..............probably all in my head, but i am buying the stuff so........ good luck on your trip back, hope all goes well. .......hey you kids, get off the road.............. |
