Offline | The bonnet grill is real simple, just a couple of clips and nuts. The bumper grill requires taking off the bumper, and cutting the aero grill to fit. It is a real pain in the ass but looks good once you get it done. There are instructions as to how much to dremel off the grill for a good fit somewhere. I personally went thru two grills before the third one was done right. good luck, jason |

Offline | It is a real pain to fit it took me two days of carefull cutting and fileing to fit, you will also have to cut new slots in the bumper to fit the tabs of the aero kit grill. Well worth it though. Heres a pic of mine. SOLD Last edited by FONTAL : Mar 10th, 2004 at 03:51 PM. |

Offline | Hello there, I just did mine myself. Like everyone said the grill on the bonnett is simple to remove, and replace. If you wish to reuse it in the future, you'll have to be carefull not to break the plastic pieces the nuts are on. I broke the first one, but after using needlenose visegrips to hold the nut as tight as I could without crushing it, I was able to gently pull down to back the nut off the plastic dowel. sorry not sure exactly what to call those things, if you look, you'll know. The rest of the nuts came off without breaking the plastic, thus making it sellable or give awayable ![]() The lower portion is a bit more involved, but not much. I personally did not want to take the car to the dealer. Basically I removed 7 bolts total, two accessed in the outer edge of wheel well by reflector, two on top of the bumper (hex bolts) and three under lip of bumper. All are bolts Not screws (incase you get confused when you look under there). After I got them all off I simply lifted and pull the bumper toward me and let it hang there, located tabs for lower portion of the grill, lift and push them thru. I Bassically the lower part is to thick, and the tabs that held the original strip in place do not match up. I took the new piece and held it in place, marked up where the tabs should be and made them (tabs) as I dremmelled away the plastic to thin the piece out. Factory applyed glue to tabs on the original piece, I used shoegoo on the back of the after market piece. The grinding was only real drag about the whole process, but it worked. hope some of this helps motor on! |

Offline | I've just fitted the top grille to my MCS. About an hour of work, pretty straightforward, although removing the small nuts was a bit of a fiddle. I used pliers because I don't have a socket set small/shallow enough.Photos later today! ![]() |

Offline | w00t, I've finished the bottom grille! Took a lot of Dremel cutting, a dab of gluegun action, and a bit of matt black spraycannage behind the grille so that the unmissable EB didn't show through. Here's the end result - I'm pretty chuffed ![]() |
