Question Removing aerial/antenna base

So the car arrives in a couple of weeks and I'm going to fit my own George Cross to the roof – after a lot of encouragement from a few chaps on here - question is how do you take off the aerial base has anyone tried it?

Help as always appreciated.

I don't think people remove the whole aerial assembly when they fit roof graphics, just the 'sting'.

Anyway, if you want to remove the base you have to lift of the black plastic cover and unbolt the nut which is underneath. You can then push the assembly through the roof slightly. The headlining inside will stop it falling away completely.

Good luckl, don't forget to post pictures!

Unscrew the bee sting arial, then twist the black base and it comes off. It just leaves a square fixing in the roof.
