Bonnet Stripes. OEM vs. Aftermarket?

I was just wondering what the opinions are? If you wanted to go with bonnet stripes, would you order your car with them, or would you get them aftermarket?

CooperFlags.com.

OEM is not the right cutout, there are gaps in the front and rear of the stripe.

I've had nothing but good experiences with Cooper Flags. BTW, I agree about going with aftermarket as the factory stripes are short.

Got mine from idlegear..... dead easy to fit and only £15
Mine were the S style stripes though with pin stripes down the edges - £25... check my gallery!

The bonnet stripes only take about 15 min to fit.... just wet them with soapy water, slide them around til in the right place... check with tape measure to the washer jets at the back and the badge at the front, hold them tight and squeegee them down... use a hairdrier to get the glue bonding quicker!

More kudos for Kev Beck at IdleGear here......cool company, cool guy, fast shipping (even to the US), excellent value for the money. I got the "S" stripes (for my Cooper...I know, sacraligious) and edge to edge chequers for the top, and a T-shirt, shipped to me for ~$110.00 US.

Easy installation as long as there is beer involved......

Nah...the lubrication was for the installer and the assistant. I have heard of others using meth though. Do a search for "beer" and "bonnet".........

Ahhh...never mind. I did it for you. Go here:
