Offline | Aero kit performance impact? Does anyone have any data on the performance impact (if any) of the aero kit? This could be: 1) Reduced (or increased ) drag 2) Weight 3) engine intake airflow 4)? If it's just cosmetic, I'm not certain that it is worth the cost to me. Offline | i have the aero kit, but noticed no real significant difference to when i didnt have it, however the car does feel more stable and a little bit quicker, but i dont know if thats becuase the engine has been run in perfectly or if the kit has a positive aero dynamic impact. I think the engine intake is better as their is a large mesh section on the bottom half. The Zeemax kit is a proven aerodynamic piece of work if you're interested, but its much more expensive and looks alot more aggresive. I like my kit and think its looks impressive, but then again i only got it for the looks PS welcome to the site ![]() |

Online | Welcome to MINI2 If you're concerned about performance then pass on the Aero Kit and use the money for performance goodies: A reduction pulley and ECU remap for an 'S' costs less than the price of Aero Kit pieces ($1,200). A set of lightweight wheels, sticky tires and beefier rear sway bar will be way less than the cost of a painted and installed Aero Kit. |

Offline | Thanks for the points of view ( and the very nice welcome). What you say is in line with my thinking, so yes even though it does look a bit better I will go with the tires/wheels/swaybar at first and then see what else I might just "have" to have. Dave Bradley |
