Offline | rear fog revisited for those of you across the pond (uk, continental europe)...is your rear fog light lit up on both side or just on the driver's side. i just had my rear fog activated and was surprised to see both sides light up. i always thought that rear fog is a single brighter red light on the driver's side. now people think my brake light is on. i could always take out the other fog bulb but does mini has the "bulb light out" similar to her bmw brethen?Last edited by ecl3x : Feb 25th, 2004 at 01:03 AM. |

| SCMM.org member | ecl3x I have asked the same question.. but all i get is.. that same answer..... Somewhere i did read that it was supposed to be programmable.. NOBODY will admit it.. I have the diode mod in for the brake lights and am now getting ready to pull the connector for the passenger side fog light.. it would be nicer if it was a software thing.. but nobody seems to know.. 11/03 BRG/Wht MCS |

Offline | we do know. It IS supposed to be both lights on a MINI. If it bothers you that much and you prefer to be lopsided the easiest thing to do is pull the bulb for the side you do not want to light up, that way its a completely reversable alteration. |

| Amiga 500 to PS3 20 Years | As has been said before lights on both sides in the UK. Only cars that utilise the other side for a reverse light have one fog. As the MINI's reverse light is in the bumper at the rear, no need to waste a light. Two fogs are safer and brighter anyway for the real pea soupers! ![]() It was acceptable in the 80's |
