I'm pretty sure you just pry the bolts off with a pair of pliers. At least I did when I installed my aero grilles

Cheers,

Ryan

Just do it carefully, so you can re-use the nuts on the new grille piece. You will also need to use a screwdriver to help pry the nuts off as you twist and pull with the pliers. It was a total pain in the butt. For the Aero grilles I had to twist the old nuts onto the new plastic pieces of the grille. It actually threaded the new plastic pieces as I screwed them on

I found that if you use a screwdriver to lift one edge of the nut as you turn it with the spanner it will dig into the plastic bolt and start to unthread itself, the nuts can then be re-used for the S grill

Tried to do it your way but no luck........... screw comes halfway down then wont go any further no matter how much i pry it with a screwdriver..
So i fort i decide to pull it off with a pair of pliers but then i ended up snapping the black bit of the screw..... anyone got anymore ideas???

Takin the chrome grill off to fit my aero kit we just pulled the nuts off with pliers. Only way we could do it was by breaking the original grill! The plastic breaks before the nuts! hence doubt I'll ever get chance to re-fit my chrome grill to my Aero kit

You lot are far too heavy handed! Mine came off and I reused the nuts for the S grill.

The Cooper grill survived without any broken bolts

They are exactly the same size - just 3 slats instead of the 4. I think the chrome S grill suits the Cooper even better - makes it look a little more meaty from the front

Correct!

Why not?! It was free and it looks meaty. Park it next to a Cooper and it's very noticable.
