Does anyone know if there is a factory placement for bonnet stripes... a measurement like how far they are from the edge of the bonnet or how far from the scoop or washerjets? i can't find an install guide anywhere and i want my new pair to look like they belong there (the ones i have now do not).

I believe the actual measurements for placement of the stripes are on the official BMW/MINI TIS CD. I've got a copy at home and I think I remember seeing that when I was looking for something else. If anyone else has a copy handy they can look it up. I'm at work now with now so it's not an option.

I'll try to remember to look later but I can't make any promises. The sun has come out here for the first time in about a week so I probably won't be inside much when I get home.

Do you guys know how easy/hard it is to remove the bonnet stripes? Anyone ever done it?

Are they permanent, semi-permanent, and would they leave a mark when taken off?
