BMW OE Spot Lamp - Covers?

Hi,

Has anyone managed to find an aftermaket cover that fits the BMW spots?...I thought
hoorah when I saw pair on e-bay but theyre 14.5cms in diameter, the BMW spots are
around 12cms!.....I have just spent today fitting the Moss clear covers on the headlamps
and would be a shame for the spots to get knackered with rock chips when not in use!
Why didnt BMW make a pair to go with the spots???

Cheers

You can get OE ones from your dealer, they are for the US but people have ordered them from the UK successfully.

Part number 63 12 0 144 065 - £5.60 each.

the MINI has gone...

i'm still having a total nightmare trying to get a hold of these. i took this part number to the local bmw dealership and they said that the part number wasnt even on their system. so i got another part number from someone else and the same thing happened.

Why the hell are these not available here? People want them so why not sell them?

Does anyone know where i can get these and would they be willing to buy me them if i send you the money plus postage costs?? Ideally looking for them available in the UK, but if i can get someone to send them to me from the states i'll send out the cash and postage costs. i want these so bad

i cant seem to find anywhere that will sell them.

I ordered a pair of these from Barons in Farnborough. They initially couldn't find them on their system and said the part number didn't exist, but I told them they were for the US market and they found them under a different section of their system. May have been under the US spec models or something.

Any dealer should be able to get them, mine had to be ordered from Germany and took a few days to get here.

Hope this helps.

Barons number is 01252 520500 if you're interested.

Why?

Why is it that the US market gets the Spot Light covers as OEM equipment whislt we in the UK have to "special" order them as after market fits?

Any one got any ideas?

Hopefully they'll be ordering some more? It cost me £120 to replace one lamp unit so £11.50 for some covers is a no brainer!

Just picked them up

They look great, and less than a tenner.
As for more stock, my dealer doesn't know I'm afraid
