Offline | Aero kit and Driving lights - pricing and labour costs :-( I've been reading up quite a bit on the aero kit, two front driving lights, and people's experiences having them fitted or fitting them without the dealer. I just called my dealer - Chiswick BMW in West London - and the prices they have quoted me have completely put me off: Full aero kit = 920 GBP + 650 GBP fitting @ 6hrs = 1570 GBP (2900 USD) Twin driving lights = 150 GBP + 400 GBP fitting @ 4hrs = 550 GBP (1020 USD) Partial aero kit --> Chiswick BMW refuse to split into individual parts ![]() Now either I haven't been putting aside enough money, or the ratio of cost of parts to cost of labour is bonkers. Or do I not have a realistic enough view of what's fair? Now I see why newminispares.com is infinitely preferrable.I had been quite looking forward to sourcing the aero kit front grills and following the Bridger US guide for my first bit of serious DIY. Can anyone recommend a UK dealer who will sell aero kit components separately or is this very much the norm? |
