Offline | Cooper S front bonnet grille on Cooper Thinking of fitting the Cooper S body coloured front bonnet grille on my Cooper. Can it be done? my dealer doesn't know. am a little sick of the amount of chrome on my cooper - makes it a look a little "cheap" esp from the front with the factory all chrome grille. Offline | That's funny, I just changed out the painted grille on my IB S for a chrome grill because I think the chrome gives the car a more classic look. To each their own! I believe the grills are interchangeable between Coopers and S's. I've heard of some S owners taking the Cooper grills and using them on their cars. ![]() Nittany: '03 IB/W MCS with the ORIGINAL painted dash Dougal: '07 PW/Blue MCC Sidewalk, painted dash (of course) |

Offline | I felt the exact same way about it being a tad too much chrome. I swapped out for all S bumpers and the grill. As the thread linked above mentions, getting the grill off is not easy, but with patience it can be done without breaking anything. I used the method of gently prying with a screw driver while turning the nut with a socket and it worked fine. Looks great, too, IMO. ![]() |
