Sorry to be a pain, but I've just found out there's still a chance I can change the spec of my replacement ONE (only a few days left though)..

It got me thinking, 'what would a pepper white with a Union Jack roof look like'?.. I know that the Pepper White is a creamy colour..and I'm guessing that the white on the flag is WHITE, so I'm not sure how it would hang together?.. I've always wanted a Union Jack roof though, and they look so cool on the classic Mini's...

aaarrrghhh!! decisions, decisions...

Just visit your local signshop they should be able to make just about anything you want these days... If not, go visit their competition.

If you can afford it - they can make it.

As for quality/durability - dont worry - it's probably as good (or better) than what Mini might be able to offer you....

Can anyone give me a quick 'colour replace' walkthrough on photoshop?.. I've found some Indie Blue/Union Jack pictures that I can probably doctor..if only I knew how?..

Help!! I need to get my colour spec in to the dealers by Monday and I can't decide (again)..

I've attempted to do a mock up of a Pepper White/Union Jack combo, but it's not perfect by any means...

What do people think of it though? The responses I've had from friends and family so far (who all love my Yellow ONE now that they've got used to it..) range from 'Cool' to 'tacky'...

The Union Jack roof we just got on our Chilli Red doesn't go right to the edges, and the white is just the roof colour - there's no white in the decal.
Anyway, I'll try and attach a picture, but I'm new to this so bear with me...

I've been told by my dealers that the Union Jack they'd install (i.e. the 'official' BMW one) also uses the white of the roof as the white of the flag - they didn't mention that it didn't fit to the edges of the roof..(personally I prefer it when it does..)

I'd beter ring them in the morning and see if that's the case...In the meantime - are there any dealers in the UK that could enlighten me?..

Dogger, the one in the official MINI accessories brochure goes right to the roof edges. I'm scanning this document for another member over the weekend. Let me know if you want that page ok.

BTW - I rang my local dealers today and confirmed that the official Union Jack flag apparently DOESN'T reach the edges, but leaves a border round the edge as pictured above..

I think this might look a bit dodgy with a white car so I suspect I'll stick with the Yellow for now (unless anyone can confirm exactly what the Flag should look like?..

Ours *is* the official BMW decal.... At least it's the official one in the States...! Maybe they think we won't know the difference, but us ex-pat will keep them honest

I think if it went right to the edges, there may be peeling problems as it goes over the curve at the edges. This way it is largely on a flat surface.

He he nice to see one using my car for moded pics i like my union edge to edge yum yum ps white will be very hard car to keep clean and i dont think they look very good

Hiya Madcaser - I was going to credit your car in my original post, and then I forgot your nickname..oops..

Nice roof though! I'm starting to think you're right though - it'll be a bugger to keep clean and so far feedback has varied between 'cool' and 'vomit'...

I reckon I'lll stick with Yellow and maybe add some graphics to it later on.

Out of interest, where did you get your flag from?..
