I am considering putting a flag on my roof. The one thing putting me off is the fear of the paint being damaged should I want to remove it. Has anyone had any experience of flags or stripes damaging the paint underneath?

I have only heard of one ocurrence of this happening here .

No dought the paint not covered will fade some after time, but the vinyl shouldn't hurt the paint unless there is something wrong with the paint to begin with. The stickiest decals will peal right off with a little help from a hair dryer to warm them up.
