Offline | I've got a small one too... I've got a small one too, Radio antenna that is, I called into AGM in Rushcutters Bay today to check out rear sway bars. I met Chris and Brian Podesta (father and son) really great guys, they told me there plans of what they hope to achive with importing MINI aftermarket parts. It sounds great, they are new to the MINI market and are the first to admit that they are on a steep learning curve. I found the service brilliant and both Brian and Chris went out of there way to get me fitting prices on parts I'm not even getting from them. Saw the Alta Antenna and had to get one, so Brad's not the only on in the Club that's got a small one, I've got a small one. I'm getting the Alta swaybar fitted in 2 weeks. |

Offline | Alan, how much was it? I'm desperate for a good quality antenna. The stock one is absolute rubbish, I get crappy 104.1 even in Sydney... not to mention VERY bad reception from the iPOD+iTrip... I wonder if I can whinge to my dealer and get them to do something? |

Offline | Dooks, you should whinge to the dealer, I get great reception on my standard aerial even in notoriously scratchy spots on the northern beaches, are we seeing you Sunday? Vic ![]() |

Offline | alan, that looks pretty similar to the "stubby" I have on my GTI, which, I am pleased to say, does fit the MINI. I didn't use to think all that much of stubby antennas, but after getting mine I am a big fan. Good to know I have the first mod for the MINI already sewn up and it won't cost me a cent.Mini2v, not sure what alan paid, but my aerial was only like $25 from memory. ![]() |

Offline | I find mine is really good. I can get fm 98.3fm which is bassed about 200km away, 104.1 JJJ which is about 400km away. (Toowoomba) no all the time for these stations, somedays not a beep from them other days crystal clear. Have I got a freaky antenna or what?? (my Hilux jut gets it running a Pionner Super Tuner3 and a 1.5m antenna) 1968 Mk1 Morris Cooper S 1310cc Downton Lake Green - White 1974 Leyland Mini 1098c Country Cream 2008 MINI Cooper S Chilli Pepper White - Black Roof |

Offline | The original antenna was a little scratchy on some stations and terrible around the tunnels on most of the tollways ... great in most other situations. The new Alta is great all round. ![]() |

Offline | Hi Tom, I did reply to this yesterday but somehow posted on the wrong thread. I paid $69 inc GST they had 2 left in stock yesterday. I bought it as much for it's look, but it does give fantastic reception and as Brad says you still get good reception in the tunnels. |
