| fully ISO 3103 Compliant | I am thinking of adding the front spot lights to my mini. I have a couple of questions. 1. Can I just order the parts and install them myself, or should I let my dealer do it? If anyone has let their dealer do it can you tell me how much they charged as well. 2. When I go to France, do I have to get for the spots those little defector things that I have to stick over my main lights? Cheers. ![]() |

| Some have THICK skins!!!! | Dont think you have to stick the thing over the lights on fogs - infact you shouldnt have to stick anything on the MINI. The headlights are adjustable by the little wheel switch by the drivers door next to the cubby hole. If you set that to 1 instead of the standard 0 it is set for european and totally legal. Paul |

Offline | I do not have a switch anymore (changed to S) but on my Cooper that raised/lowered the headlights not changed it from UK to EUROPE. In my BMW there used to be a lever behind each headlight but nothing like that on my S (besides I only look at the supercharger and fill the water bottles when I lift the bonnet). PS: Happy European SatNav..ing ![]() |

Offline | 1. The install is relatively difficult compared to other tweaks, and your dealerships may charge you for up to 2hr 15mins work if they fit it for you (ouch!). If you want to read the full procedure, try the official guide here Let us know what you decide, I'm looking at this upgrade soon! 2. If you've got Xenons, no change. If you've got Halogen, change as suggested in previous posts. |

Offline | i installed the PIAA lights with brackets (i think the brackets are almost identical to the MINI brackets) and i thought it was pretty easy, and ive never done anything to a car prior to this. all you need is a drill and the right drill bits, and of course no inhibitions about drilling into your car, which is the tough part for most. |
