Same as with the stripes, use lots of water and dishwashing liquid as a lubricant.

Cheers for that, i take it i just damp the bonnet with the water/washing liquid then flatten the decal on it, do i just need to pat it dry then with a cloth. i'll give it a try tomorrow.

thats an extremely cool front end you've got there by the way.

Cheers

Pubert, why do your lights look so different in your signature?

Hi Nine,

Not sure what you mean me old sausage if you mean the differences between the square image below my name and the long image below my thread its because the long image is my car and the square image is a standard image that i got here at mini2

if thats not what you mean expand a bit and i'll try and answer your question.

The signature that I put on the flames had film on both the top and bottom, just like the graphics. Spray the surface with the lubricant (use lots, don't be shy), peel off the botton of the signature and position it (you can use tape markers as a guide and align it up just the way you want), then use a small 3M squeege like thing to flatten it out and push out the soapy water and air bubbles, if any. Then gently lift off the top layer of the graphic and pat dry if necessary. Here's a helpful link on installing vinyl graphics from the place where I purchased the flames. Good luck.

just the top part of the oval looks darker than normal, probably shading or from where the light is coming

Yep i think your right, i think the sun was comming in from behind the car when i took that and the front of the house is right in front of the car so the refectors in the cars light would probably be reflecting the dark brickworks, looks pretty cool though that effect.

I'm glad it worked out for you. I too was a little intimidated at first, but the graphics are really not all that hard to put on if you are patient and take your time. The people on here helped me out at first, so I'm glad to return the favor. Motor on.

Hey Pubert, any chance you can get a picture of your car with the signature on it??

I bought the signature but don't really know where to put it, i was thinking too of on the stripes but wasn't sure how it would look.

Cheers

If you hack around, you'll see that they usually put them about 2/3 or 3/4 the way up the stripe. Roughly 1/2 way between the center of the wheel line and the edge of the hood (oops .. sorry .. " bonnet"). I have seen some others place them on the front part of the rear quarters, sometimes complimented with a stripe along the rockers. Me, dead bang center on the flames. Kind of like the old Pontiac Trans Ams of the 1970's with the big hood decals.
