I have the carbon of what you guys are taking about. I have Black MCS/JCW with white viper stripes. I didn't like them at first, I LOVE them now !

Definately go for stripes. Especially if there are lots of other MINIs around, try to get some customised stripes that make your car stand out a bit

Stripes really set these MINIs off in my opinion. Theres just so much you can do with em!

You can get the stripes from your Mini Dealer but the choice is a bit limited. I think my dealer in Oxford only did black, white and black with silver edges. They do the viper stripes too but they are the ones that go over the whole car. If you only want the bonnet done you still have to pay for the lot.

Just had my bonnet stripes put on this monirng. I have a silver MCS and decided to get some custom ones made up by a sign writting company. Iv got frosted ones. Ill upload some pics later today.

I'm in the minority too then - but it depends on what kind of look / image you want your car to have. I don't like them, but that said, a (non-Mini owning) friend of mine remarked the other day that if he had a MINI, he'd have to have the bonnet stripes - without them it just wouldn't look the same.

In fairness, I can see his point!

As someone mentioned previously the mini in The Italian Job was all pepper white with black stripes and it looked great IMHO.

I debated for months whether to stripe or not stripe and last weekend I did it. Glad I did too.Heres what mine look like;
