Wind Deflectors

Can any one tell my where I can source Wind Deflectors.

Fed up with water coming when the windows is open if it has been raining hate every time I use the washers how the water runs on the side window.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh!

Washer fluid running alongside my driver's window at speeds above 10mph - BEEJ'S NUMBER ONE MINI ANNOYANCE

We have a particularly steep windscreen compared to other new cars, so we pick up lots of splats. I find that 50 miles on the motorway = all sorts of crud. So to clean our near-vertical windscreens you use the wipers... and then the side windows get streaked!

Design flaw? Why isn't there A-pillar guttering that runs it up the roof?

Annoys me to hell and back. Hope someone has some advice (other than using the wiperspray at very low speeds...)

(PS: seen the wiper motion on new Bimmers? massive windscreen coverage - ace!)

beej, couldn't agree with you more mate - I love the smooth A pillars but HATE the way the side windows get as much washer fluid on as the b y windscreen!!!

Afraid I'm no help on sourcing wind deflectors but if any1 does have a solution I'd be more than interested...

Cheers

I have contacted various wind deflector manufacturers, in UK, USA, Europe and Japan. Yes they have something available for the sunroof, but nothing in production or planned. Their reason being there is nothing to attach the deflector to on the door/window. If the attached anything that would be of benefit to the bodywork, you wouldn't be able to open or close the door. So there is no solution at present.

I find that even with fluid, the wipers only succeed in smearing the splats, making a bigger mess than in the first place.

I keep a packet of window cleaner wipes in the glovebox and clean the windshield once I stop.

its my biggest gripe with the car!
considering i have a cosmos black cooper (which takes some cleaning to keep it clean) i constantly give the windscreen a good hand clean as i hate using the windscreen wash because of the problem stated! the original wipers arent up to the task - anyone fitted the 5 blade jobbies and got any feedback?
nothing worse than giving your car a good clean to see the windscreen wash streaming across the side windows and door panel everytime you squirt it! mmmmmmmmmm makes me wanna cry.
