R90 and R85 switching

sorry guys don't know if this has already been asked or answered ( I didn't find anything using search!) but here goes:

The cross-spoke alloys (R90) cost £325 each and are 17" rims. The eight-spoke alloys (R85) cost £130 and are 17" rims. If I got the chili pack for the Cooper S and asked the dealer to swap the R85 alloys (std with chili on S) with the R90 alloys do you think that:

1) the rubber would be transferrable and

2) thus the extra cost on top of the chili pack for the R90 alloys would be £780?

I think that's fair, depends how friendly your dealer is feeling!

From what I've read in car mags, the 17 R90's have a differant high performance tyre. I could be wrong just saying what I've read. I'd take the rpice of the R85's and dedcut them from the Price of the R90's and you'll get the price any good dealer would do for you. lets face it they'll have a Mini owner or Showroom Mini somewhere that they'd put them on to help sell the car (not that it needs more help)

I'd buy them at a reduced rate for my track day I am having later on in the year!
