Picked up my e/b cooper s today.Thinking that as its got white roof and mirrors perhaps i should add bonnet stripes as well.Can anyone tell me if dealer fitted stripes are of the same quality as factory fitted ones?
can you tell the difference between the two?

same ones as can be fitted from the factory.

Easy enough to do yourself.....check out idlegear.co.uk

Excellent product, excellent instructions provided. Real easy to do. Same yourself much money.

when i specced my ONE i got a union jack on the roof and white bonnet stripes... but they didn't get done at the factory... the car was taken to the dealership as a plain ONE and then the sign writer went to the dealership/car taken to sign writer (?) and he did it then... so they don't get their graphics put on in the factory (or atleast mine definatly didn't!). My roof graphics started to peel off after about 6 months so the dealership got the guy to replace it all (for free!) and while he was at it he also replaced one of the bonnet stripes as it had a stone chip on it, which showed the body colour... we didn't ask for this to be done, was done as a good will gesture ... but you can't tell the difference between the older stripe and the newer one!
so ... to answer ur initial question... i suppose the quality depends on which sign writer each dealership uses and the quality and accuracy of his work!!
