I got a new grille today. a stock chrome one from a MINI Cooper. I went to swap it for the stock painted one, but I'm having no luck. I broke 3 of the little plastic pegs that holds it onto the car. I have searched through the forums, and I saw no FAQ about this.

I busted every one but 2 of them off. I guess there is no easy way!

I took mine off without breaking any, but I must say it was the most difficult part out of the whole operation of changing out both of the bumpers and grill. What you do is use a very small slotted screw driver to pry upward on the nut, then at the same time you turn the nut with your socket. Not fun, not easy, not quick.
