Thumbs up May be of interest to people wanting seperate aero kit parts

I came across this website, http://www.outmotoring.com/exterior.html and thought that I would share it with you guys and girls. As most of you will know all Mini dealerships will only sell the aero kit as a complete package. Follow the link to find the separate front/rear bumper and side skirts from the Aero kit for sale. It may look pricey to start with but from what I have heard from people on here the front a rear bumpers are relatively easy to fit, so atleast you wont have to pay for fitting costs. The cost of each part is quoted in dollars, add the part to the basket and select price in pound sterling etc.

I've seen no end of people who've bought just the aero side skirts? I didn't realise people had problems getting kits "parts"?

The prices on these are also outrageous too! $447.95 for just the front bumper?!? I managed to buy this very same bumper kit from my local dealership for $350. The side skirts were $300.

Four words, I'll....get....my....coat.

So if you have managed to purchase the bumper(s) (both bumpers?), and side skirts from your dealership, why is my dealership so reluctant to sell these separately to me

I only went down the avenue of looking up this website as this was the only option I thought was available to me.

I've managed to buy ONLY the front bumper...I'm considering getting the side skirts now. I'm surprised to hear that your dealership doesn't sell them separately. Mine does....maybe it's different on this side of the sea?

No different on this side of the pond, I've no idea why your dealer isn't helping. Try calling your next nearest dealer for help?

To be fair Paul, I started this thread a couple of months ago about my dealer refusing to split the Aero Kit. I've since turned to another London dealer (sigh)

I think thats what I’ll definitely be doing tomorrow, hopefully I’ll be able to get that front bumper.

Thank you for enlightening me Atomic80, you may have possibly saved me quite a bit of money

My local dealer has quoted me £340 for the aero sides supplied prefinished. Although he did want £120 to fit them :O

pre finish? taht means they got to get sprayed up then?

i hear that the factory dont liek splitting sprayed kits and only sell seperate parts of teh kit primed... thats what my parts guys told me. so i got whole kit.. as i know some paint jobs can not be that good in some cases. not taking risk. factory spray or no go.
