Hi all,

I have my S booked in to the local BMW dealer for fitting of the silver and grey Union Jack. As I have been merrily waxing with Meguires Gold Class the past 12 months is there anything I need to do to prepare the roof beforehand?. I will wash the car before I take it in to make sure there is no dirt and dust on the roof. I haven't asked the dealer but should I assume they will strip any wax off the roof before applying the graphics. I will let them know that I have been waxing the roof when I drop her in! Just abit concerned that the dealer will plonk the graphics straight on and then a week later have it curling up at the edges

I don't think you will have anything to worry about.

We had bonnet stripes added by our local dealer some weeks ago and the stripes are still solidly attached. I'm sure thay must clean the wax off before they start.

Afterwards, they cleaned the car inside and out too.

Its going back in next week for the new Zip decal to be put on the roof
