![]() 6X therapist | Turtle wax "wet n black" does a good job on tyres, thats what its for, but I tried it in the sills and black finishers around the wheel arches and along the lower bumpers. What a result !. Just squirt some on a cloth, and wipe away, then a quick buff up, and bingo. Very shiny and black after two applications. .Last edited by Goonery : Jun 5th, 2004 at 05:27 PM. |

| MINI2 Resident Doctor!! | i bought some resin sealant stuff for vinyl in halfords today...it is awsome...most of these treatments last for a day then kinda dissapear and you have the old black back, they kinda moisten the black plastic....but this stuff seals the plastic, but is not making it shiney, just as it should look...i will go down stairs at some point and report back what it is called.....amazing stuff!!!! Offline | Hi, If you want to remove wax from the black trim bits on any car, the best thing to use is a tooth brush and peanut butter. Make sure that you use the smooth stuff ![]() Paul; |

Offline | I totally second Max's suggestion! I used a Maguire's tyre product on my arches, made them look incredible for a few days but the long term damage is really bad. The picture shows how good the arches came up but if I had a pic of my car the way it is you would never put a tyre product on the arches. My arches are currently a very dull gray/white colour... I don't care though Indi Blue car is being traded in tomorrow!!! My girlfriend's mum has a mini and it would never have been cleaned as much as mine, her arches look brand new after two years old! I think maybe use Max's advice or just use water and the Mini product available from mini dealers! |
