Roof Zip

We've just had the Zip decal fitted

Now we can really zip around the Cotswold lanes

I've taken a couple of photos and they are in my gallery. They're a bit rushed (and it was raining when I took them) but I will put some better ones up soon.

Our dealer said this is the first Zip in Gloucestershire

The zip looks great!

My dealer has now dropped in my estimation as he has failed to get me the part number, the availability, the part price, and the ZIP itself! he claims to have sent an email to BMW and is still waiting for the answer. Can you look up your invoice and see if the part number is there with its price? I'm going to fit it myself like the chequered roof I had made on the last MINI i had. I would really love to give them the part number before they tell me.

The part number is M95.21.0.000.021 and the price is £97.88 +VAT.

I would be interested to know how you get on with fitting it. I was surprised to find that it is a lot of small pieces. I thuoght it would be one strip of vinyl.

The Zip looks great - If I wasn't getting a convertible I'd have the Zip.

Looks good. Also suits a silver and black car very well.

I agree! Looks great with that color scheme and the bonnet stripes. Very nice!

Oh dear, my dealer says that it is not the part number, well not at least with BMW. Could that number be the dealers internal parts ref number? They have decided to send yet another email.....

Small pieces! Perhaps they could be adapted for the bonnet?

Cool!

Do they make them in black for my White roof?

Apial

Try phoning my dealer. They are Cotswold MINI, tel 01242 587029. Speak to a guy called Rick Cumberpatch.

I'm sure they will tell you the part number.

If you have any trouble, I'll give you detals of my invoice so they can trace it.

I think it is only available in one colour . It's a kind of pale blue with white highlights which gives a metallic look from a distance. I'm not sure how it would look on a white roof.

Perhaps someone with Photoshop could play around with some images to see how it would look?

I'vre now succeeded in placing my order. Trying to get my dealers parts dept to input a parts number was as as pedantic as inputting a microsoft registation key. A call to cotswold MINI revealed that the number was 95 21 0 000 021. All that was wrong was the preceeding "M"!

The "zip" is now on order! Thanks TonyM.

(same price BTW)
