ministripes.com and mightystripes.com both sell their own, and they each have matching boot stripes as well, although those designs are different from each other.

Do the factory bonnet sripes have a black edge? Can you get ones without the edge from the factory or would I have to add them?

All Stripes from MINI (factory or aftermarket OEM) are with a pinstripe. The white have a black pinstripe and vice versa. Personally, the pinstripe makes it look more professional, but that's just my opinion. Before you decide to go without, make sure to look at both, I thought I'd like the stripe without better but I was wrong.

I had the sgnature stripes on my 1974 and thought about the same for the one I ordered. The local dealer doesn't have a Mini with stripes on the lot so I have seen them up close. I know you can buy the signatures from John Cooper Works to add to the stripes.

Close. In the 04s anyway, the factory MCS stripes have the edge pinstripe. The Coopers have a plain stripe.

The Black/White bonnet stripes from the factory and us are digitally printed - most of the low cost bonnet stripes are white vinyl with thin strips of black material added to the edges to act as pinstripes. You get what you pay for.
