Hi Guys,

I've often wondered what the third hole is in the headlight cluster on all current MINIs... does anyone know?

There doesn't appear to be anything in there, except the MCS has something looking like a grill!!

Halogen lights - it's a reflector that increases light output. Xenon lights, it's a pretty little "Xenon" logo thing that covers some internal working/wiring.

Wasn't it originally going to be the sidelight until they realised it couldn't legally go in the headlamp if the headlamp isn't static (ie static in the body like the old Mini, not in the bonnet like the new MINI)?
