Offline | Shelby Stripes on DS/DS - Piccies & Opinions Hi everyone, I've been considering getting some form of graphics to personalise my DS/DS MCS for a while, but I couldn't really find anything that I really liked on all DS paintwork. The other day I was surfing around the gallery on the Cooperflags website, and began getting a little inspiration. My current thinking is Shelby stripes (not Viper) in the frost finish, but I am undecided on how far to take them. ie: 1. Bonnet only (I definitely don't want them on the bumpers) 2. Bonnet including windscreen cowl 3. Bonnet inc. windscreen cowl & tailgate (again, I'd stop it short of the bumper) 4. Bonnet inc. windscreen cowl, roof & tailgate (by the way I have the sunroof) I am most likely going to choose either the bonnet only, option 1; or the whole she-bang, option 4. If anyone out their has a DS (preferably DS/DS) MCS with frosted Shelby stripes, I'd really appreciate if you could post a few piccies. I've already done quite a few searches to see what's out there, but I haven't had any success thus far. I'd also welcome anyones opinion on the options I've described, or any other suggestions for alternatives. Thanks a lot. Richard |

Offline | Hi Dark Silver S, Thanks for posting photos, your Viper stripes look sweet. I think your Vipers extended onto the bumpers works well, but if I do the Shelby stripes, I'm planning to stop them short of the bumpers as I think it suits them better. I think I agree with you that the 'over-the-roof' looks better. Do you have a sunroof? In general, how are your stripes holding up? Cheers, Richard |

Offline | Yes, I have the sunroof. I've given consideration to using silver window tint to stripe the sunroof (and the back window), but haven't done it (yet). The stripes are holding up fine. When I see the odd bubble appearing, I give it a blast with a heat gun. That seems to be doing just fine. You'll notice that my stripes are set to be exactly as wide as my US plate. |
