smoked rear lights legal?

I'm know there has been debate on this from the white light issues but i have a bit of an ongoing problem. Long and boring to explain but without a legal confirmation for the time being my beautiful smoked rear lights will have to be removed. I have the third brake light (standard) which is acting as the reflector at the moment. So is it completely 100% legal? does the % of the smoked film matter? if so what are the figures? Cheers for any, much needed, help

Er - the third light is just that, a light - it's not a regflector is it? You'll need to add some reflectors. Try the ickle one you get from Halfords for about a fiver - small & they do the job.

Less haste my friend

Am I right in thinking that you covered the standard lamps with the smoked plastic?

I think you should contact the police and get some information. I don't think these are illegal if what I said above is right, but I can't be sure.
