Offline | I went on a factory tour yesterday at Cowley and much to my suprise there was a CooperS convertible on display in the musuem with Chrome interior and folding electic mirrors. Apparently all this kit can be specced on the new models as factory fit. i will put up some pics and video of the folding action on my website soon ![]() |

Offline | Nice pictures + video. How do you activate the mirror folding? Do they just do it when you shut off the car or is there a separate switch? Magic 8-ball was correct. All be in awe of Magic 8 ball. |

Online | Switch inside that's so last year ![]() Press the button - mirrors fold - now you can't see if a car is coming, open door, get it taken off. For a better solution http://www.newministuff.com/news.htm Mine fold away when the fob is pressed |

Offline | Thanks for the info on the switch, but it doesn't seem as cool as Mikey's method. Anyway, I didn't move it, but this forum isn't necessarily for modifications only, its just exterior stuff in general, so things like factory mirrors fit in here, while discussion of various seat options fit in the interior forum. Its the "Technical" side of Technical Maintence and Modifications. Magic 8-ball was correct. All be in awe of Magic 8 ball. |

![]() 6X therapist | Two schools of thought here, the Factory version allows for mirrors to be folded when the car is in a narrow street situation, such as squeezing past parked cars, very useful in Japan, and central London, the Mikey method is good for when you are parked and have left the car. So sitting on the fence , each has its merits. ![]() |
