removal of s spoiler

Is there anything I should know before removing my cooper s rear spoiler or is it just a case of unscrewing it? Hopefully changing it to a zeemax one...

Yeah, I would think you will need to use the old hairdryer trick to heat up the glue enough to allow you to remove it.

What are you doing with your old spoiler? I know someone looking for a white Cooper S spoiler - PM me if you are interested in selling it!

54 Cooper, BEP/Black, Chilli Pack, ASC+T, SS+, Alarm, CD Boost, 16" FIN Alloys, Anthracite Headlining, Xenons, Multi-function S/Wheel, Driving Lamps, sh*t build quality...

Now SOLD!!! Goodbye MINIs and good riddance....

the spoiler is held up by a nut and a large double tape on each side. i just removed mine last week and it was kinda hard but i managed to remove it in 30 minutes... i remove 2 nuts under it then i used some thin nylon cord w/ some lubricant sprayed into it (wd40 would do... also spray some on the inside, in the double sided tape) then gently slide the cord thru the inside, gently slide up and down the cord into the tape and it would just lift off by itself.... (just be careful of the rubber molding under the spoiler.. it might get scratched by the cord...) after that clean the residue of the adhesive with wd40 or wax...

Although i'll sound like a lamen, could you tell me which bolts are holding it there i.e. where?

not sure where the bolts are, im hoping it will become obvious when i get stuck in! as for my s spoiler, its not yet off, and i havent decided what to do with it yet. I'll certainly post it up if i do decide to sell it. It's a white one...

nuts are located when you open up the boot... remove the two rubber caps on each side on the opposite side of the spoiler when you open up the boot., just near the hinges of the boot.... you will see there are nuts... remove them.
