Offline | Headlamp Protectors I would guess that a new headlamp for the Mini would cost a fortune. If the glass breaks can it be replaced or does it necessitate a new headlamp unit? I understand that there are protectors available - does anyone know where to get them and how they would be fitted? |

Offline | The only thing I have seen are the clear plastic film stick on kind. I thing those would protect more against scratches and bugs than breaking. They are just plactic so I wouldn't think they would break that easily. |

Offline | I have those protectors on my MCS. You can get them at www.mossmini.com . They can supposely protect the head lamp from a 1" rock traveling 120MPH. They cost $29 US and came with ones for the turn indicators and fog's. $29 or $750 for a new lamp assembly?! I will take the chance on the protectors first. There easy to install. Offline | Jupiter, give Jo at Armourfend UK a call on 01992 892896. They wil provide you with headlight protectors for the MINI, but also ask for a quote on the rest of the MINI kit. Probably a good investment. The kit is made of 3M film specially designed to stop stone chips. Therefore suitable for painted surfaces as well as headlights, whether glass or polycarbonate.. Even though a stone may not break a headlight, eventually the surface can take on a sandblasted effect, reducing the amount of light thrown out. Tell Jo that OZICOZI referred you please. |
