Bonnet Stripe Fitting

Hi,
I got my minispares bonnet stripes through the post this morning and before fitting I thought i'd ask for a few tips on fitting them, how did you do it, how did you keep the bubbles out, did you start at the top or the bottom etc, thanks

make sure the bonnet is totally clean... and then spray it with soapy water along with the sticky side of the stripes. It will make the stripes a lot easier to fit... but you will have to wait for the soapy water to dry before you go out... otherwise they will probably peel off.

NB: i haven't actually done this, but my dad is a signwriter and he does this sort of stuff for a living (handy for me ) so it should work.

Agreed - DONT DO IT!

Tried it on my old Mini and it was VERY difficult and no matter how much trouble I took, they were COVERED in bubbles! Get someone who knows what they're doign!

Can you take them off again if/when it all goes wrong?

Also, how much did the sign fitting company charge to do it?

You can take them off if you like, depending on how long you have left them. If they've been on there a while, you'll need a hairdryer to heat them up first, then they'll just peel off..

The sign company I used, charged roughly £15 to fit them.

the MINI has gone...
