More chrome available?

Hi,

Great forum. I just wanted to know if anyone is aware of chrome side gills being available for the Cooper, as I think this would look rather sharp. The ones on the S would not work for me since they've got that red "S" embedded in it. I'm pretty sure MINI does not offer them (at least not yet), so perhaps there is an aftermarket company that could do this.

Thanks in advance.

The "S" doesn't seem to bother some people, good to see you have some integrity though

Simon Jackson on this site will be doing some without the "S". I may be wrong but I think he's called Minispares and I also think he does mail order so you should be able to get them off him when they are available.

Well I agree as much as I like the chrome side grills the thought of having 'S' parts on a Cooper makes me cringe, it is starting the slipery slope of dressing a car up something I don't like to see.

As for the after market ones without an 'S' I will be very interested, I think Im already going to go for some clear side repeaters.

I think the side grills on a Cooper should have been chrome in the first place

I think some of you are going for the record number of threads on the same subject!

There have been so many requests for chrome side grills on this site, I think the majority of people just want S grills without the S.

The answer is simple. You have a two choices:

1) Mini Spares - Chrome grills will be available very soon
2) Dullinger - Wouldn't bother with them following that picture of there chrome bonnet vent.

So in short, you will have to wait - Watch this space

P.S. I found these by searching for the word 'chrome'

Yeah, www.minispares.com but they don't have any new MINI products on there. If you want to put your name down for some, email simon@minispares.com
