Pure gold is listed, in "The Goods" in the Book of Motoring, but not in the standard, bigger, black US MINI brochure. I've seen pix of Pure Gold MINIs, in Euro shows, and one, being delivered, in Switzerland
Gold body, black roof, is, by far, my 1st choice. Anyone know about US availability?

Gold isn't available anywhere. Although shown in some literature and even a show car that was touring in the US, the color was dropped.

As kids would say... THAT SUCKS!!! I think the pure gold color accentuates the MINI's fluid lines..hopefully, others will feel the same & gold will re-appear!

Amazingly enough, Gold is listed on an Irish Price list for the S which I picked up in my local dealer, along with Candy Blue !!

Ive e-mailed my dealer, and the Irish importers for info, but they havent come back to me........two weeks now !!

There was a pure gold Cooper at the San Francisco "launch"
week. I posted a photo of it on the thread that had a poll
on gold & (baby?) blue.
Color got great reviews by passers-by.

Now I see in a different post by PIT yesterday that Gold is available in Italy, according to their official MINI website! So unofficial, unannounced colors are available on relatively few MINIs in limited countries while official, listed colors for lots of MINIs in many countries aren't available until Sept??!!

Please, for my continued confidence in the company building my new car, tell me BMW isn't really this "ass over teakettle" disorganized.

I think they are, seal, they also make great cars! I supposed pure gold will turn up as an available color, in the US, eventually... where is that pic, of gold & "baby blue" MINI, sounds like UCLA colors!! maybe for cruising Westwood!!!

I learned that a gold color will be available in September as a 2003 model.

i was told by miniusa that gold is going to replace silkgreen. they did not say when. if you go to their site and email them, they might be able to help.
