Considering the amount of abuse my front mad flap type things have been given when approaching speed bumps, I'd hate to see the state of that after a few weeks!!

Is it just the angle of the picture, or did they DE-CHROME portions of the headlights?

I like the checkered stripes behind the headlights.

Rest is too loud for my tastes.

Most fun on 4 wheels.

I think you're right Bruce, the inside/backing bits of the lamp cluster (the bits surrounding the actual bulbs and reflector dishes) appear to be black instead of chrome. Not too crazy about it on the MINI. MG did something similar with the headlamps on the MGF "Trophy" version as a stop-gap before they gave it a full facelift, I think it worked better there (but I'm biased)...

It's an awful thing to do to a car. Just witness how bad the headlights of the rally Subarus look. Like the eyes of some insect-robot monster from a Japanese horror movie.

Exclamation Plastic unfantastic MGF's

Yes Jamiesim,

basically, you are right! The MGF is lame, no offence, I test drove that horrid MG-F, Golf GTi, MX5, MG-ZR 160 and Seat Ibiza all before I test drove the Mini Cooper. The car is different class to all of the above, Ok, the cooper or the Golf Gti may not be as quick as either MG, but the whole range is distgusting!

chow 4 now.

alex.

Black and White Cooper here, soon to be an Electric Blue & White S, with the WORKS!!
