Offline | That got your attention I guess ![]() Anyway, incase someone want to see... I had my "side-grills" painted in Indi Blue to macht the car.. Like it? I have ordered a set of white lenses (these are the only ones I want to change... rear-lights [i]should[/s] be red - IMO.), but they've yet to be delivered... I should perhaps mention that I did this as a test... My plan was/is to change the original vent's anyway... for Chrome - that is! ![]() Now I'm not so sure about what to do... I might keep these, I might decide to try and spray 'em white(!) or I might get a set of chrome grills... (without the 'S !) What'ya chrome-addicts think? "Life begins @ 7,000 rpm's" |

Offline | Re: Putting an end to this chrome-business!! That looks sweet! Nice idea! Its those little details that set people's car apart from the rest I think, you've really done a fantastic job, everytime I see it I like it more! Hmmm Should I have got Indi Blue instead of Black now At least mine already been black wouldn't have to do it on mine, but then again the paint finished ones would look sweet as opposed to the Black plastic.![]() |

Offline | ADO15/monsta, You been talking about me! [headbutt] ADO15, I don't have a gallery (apart from this thread!) as most of my pics are still on my memory cards - don't ask, computer probs! Smiffy, If I coloured coded the side vents with a Halfords can then the side windows and windscreen would also be silver! I got a ChipsAway/PaintTechnik type bloke to do it. He did the side indicator grills and door/wing mirrors for £100. The most important part he says was to use a specialist primer/paint/lacquer to resist stonechips and allow the paint to flex as the plastic expands/contracts. I'm going to get the windscreen washer jets colour-coded next, but because it's a bit of a small job, I need to find something else to do as well! Offline | Can I take a moment to say I want to start a petition. I hope Monsta's in on this too........ We need chrome windscreen wiper arms. I am getting chrome bonnet vents and indicator grills, so all that's left are the damn windscreen wipers. So can Minispares please rectify this next?! Offline | I like chrome (almost) as much as some of you guys, but I thought chrome wiper arms are illegal due to the fact sunlight and other light can be reflected off of the arms and temporarily blind the driver. That's why chrome or stainless steel wiper arms haven't appeared on any new cars for the past 20 years or so. + 2002 MINI Cooper S - Dark Silver / White roof, Sport, Premium, Lapis blue leather + 1965 Mini Traveller - Tartan Red / White roof, 1275, Cooper S discs, fully restored/renewed |
