Offline | Can anyone recommend a good company that they have used for black viper stripes. I am thinking of going else where for them as the official ones now have a stupied authenticity mark on them. I have looked at cooper flags and some other suppliers, but my MINI dealer says that they are probably all inferior and will peel off or fade over time. My dealer has said he will consider fitting them if I order them in from somewhere as he to agrees the auth. mark is a bit silly looking. I hope my little letter in the G. Discussion forum "Dear MINI...." is noted by MINI ![]() |

Offline | make sure you get your dealer to put in writing that your paintwork warranty will be maintained. The dealer is clearly trying to help you out, but MINI warranty is ultimately signed off by MINI UK. Bottom line its your car do what you want, but its worth a question, because isn't that why BMW put the mark there in the first place to make sure you have approved product. I spoke to them about lowering, but i was told that blows my warranty on all suspension, but a works suspension kit wouldn't as its approved |

Offline | Don't know how far you are prepared to travel. My dealer don't fit them themselves but use a company called "Action Graphics" who are based in Aston Birmingham. They did my Viper Stripes and they are the D.B's. No silly mark. The guy who normally sorts out mini work is a mini man himself, and a member on here. I paid £170 and am really pleased with them. If your interested, p.m. me and I'll give you their phone number and contact name. ![]() |

Offline | I wouldnt recommend getting stripes through your dealer or a Mini specialist company! I was inquiring into cobra stripes a while ago. Try your nearest vehical graphics shop. They usually specialise in company logos on company vehicals. But you could go down and specify exactly what you want (colour, size, etc). Iv always thought the dealer fit stripes were too slim and far apart. Think I was quoted roughly £100-£120. |

Offline | Spoke to my dealer, he is unsure about the warranty ref the paint work so I am not sure what to do now. Desert Storm, you seem to have had a good job done by and outside company so I may get in touch with you later about these stripes. I have now seen a a roof decal with the mark, and now i've seen in the flesh, I dont think its that bad. It is no where near as big as I though it may have been. So I am considering staying with the manufacturer stripes. One thing I do know is that I am definatly getting the V stripes and I will post some pictures for you all when I pick my car up. Thanks for all the advice. ![]() |

Offline | heres logo on my car cant say it really bothers me either it is very small. bottom line decision for me was dealer said it means there is no risk of losing paint warranty and maintaining that trade in value! There is an internal memo on BMWs system ask to see it, Dealers got it in June explains about logo. Its your car do what you want, but I would push dealer to put it in writing before fitting something from elsewhere |

Offline | Yes I went to an outside company, but it is the company my dealer use. For some reason my dealer don't fit they're own stripes, bonnet or viper. So I know there wouldn't be an issue with warranty. But as quoted above it's all down to how you want to play it. Go with what your happy with. I don't think the mark is that bad either. Mine just happened to come without it. ![]() |
