| Replacement Tailights....WHY? Following on from the white roofs question. I don't understand why anyone would spend money to replace the tailights on a MINI when the end result not only looks cheap and tacky.... But it makes their MINI look like a CHAV motor Why oh why not sell your MINI and go and buy a 10 year old Nova instead - ( then you could spend the diffence on a baked bean can exhaust and a nice new baseball cap ( Burberry natch ) Na wha I meen innit? Sorry about that - but its true! ![]() |

Offline | That's just your opinion, I've not seen many (if any) aftermarket tail lights I like that much, but a lot of people like them, and that's their choice. They don't do it to impress you or I, they do it because they like it, and that's a good thing. Choice, it's a wonderful thing. ![]() Our trials and tribulations living in a "bleeding edge" eco house... Oxley Woods Living |

Offline | Replacement tail lights Fitted replacement rear lights coz they wanted to. Had any mods done to your car? Why? BECAUSE YOU WANTED TO! Not sure I understand what your complaint/observation is about. If you don't like it...DON'T DO IT! |

| World Wide Flying Ace | Even if you don't like every modification you see, on the mini or any other car. At least it shows that the owner sees their car as more than just transportation. If they are prepared to invest time and money, surely it should be their choice. Personalization is one of the great things about mini ownership as it was with the classic. I've seen some ice'd up and heavily bodykitted cars on the web and in GoMini that have made me wince. Actually some make me think WTF. | GP 06 MCS 0380 | If you dont like it why are you looking at the section that has modifications in the title. There are some nasty lookin tail lights out for the mini I agree, but if they look awful, nobodies gona buy them neway. If I wasnt so polite id be calling you very rude names now, but i deleted that in case I get in trouble!! |

Offline | I get the impression that I am the perfect example of what many people seem to dislike: - I have a white roof/stripe/wheel combination - I have after market tail lights - I have the Orciari body kit - I have dark tint on my windows Most people that have seen my car in person tell me that they love the look. The only negative thing I have ever heard was "It is not my style, but I like the customization." This is a fair statement and something that I think to myself at times. Everyone has opinions. The key is to agree to disagree, not rip on someone's selection. Sorry - this has been mounting for a while and needed to vent. I'd be lost if I had somewhere to be! |
