Offline | Help - chrome front bumper insert replacement Hi all, Just noticed a damaged chrome front bumper insert on my cooper (car park bump?) . Anyone have any idea of the part cost (dealer or pattern), where to get one and how easy it might be to replace? I would like to fix myself if possible. There's a little paint scuffing but I think that will polish out so not all bad! Very grateful for any responses. |

Offline | I have this problem but i'm part exing on monday and the dealer took it in to account.I did price it up(mines the back chrome insert though) the part was about £40 plus vat i think and i was initially told that it just clips on.Would the workshop guys stick it on when my car was in for a service as a favour i asked.I don't think that will be a problem, i was told. When i spoke to the service guy he said that it is glued on and they'd charge me for half an hours labour...so i'm assuming you can kiss goodbye to around £100 by the time that is totalled up.Just trade up to a new MINI its cheaper........................well i know its not but its more exciting!............................i don't know how mine was done or who by...BA$#@RDS |

Offline | Thanks Rub, some useful links there. I think I'll start off with the dealer first and then check out after-market. By the way, it's only the centre trim above the number plate that's damaged. |
