Offline | Hi All, I'm sure this question has been asked a thousand times so here we go! I'm ordering a new Cooper with plenty of options. I'll be getting the rear spoiler as standard in the Chili pack, but find this a little too subtle. I want to fit the Cooper S style rear spoiler (sorry S owners - i'm not trying to imitate!) but not sure where it can be sourced from. I have spoken with my local dealer who say they will fit a rear spoiler that is the same size and shape as the Cooper S spoiler, but it does not have the air flow gap between the spoiler and the roof. Is this true? I have seen a few coopers (and ones) with the Cooper S spoiler, have they fitted this themselves, or used a different company. Obviously a dealer can source a Cooper S spoiler, but is there some silly regulation that stops them fitting it to a Cooper? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Cheers |

Offline | Spoiler Hi, I recently got the cooper spoiler fitted to my mini. I wasn't sure which one they were going to put on, as on the exterior styling section of the official mini website, they had the similar cooper s spoiler without the gap, as you mentioned. But normal coopers have a more subtle one. So, I presume as long as you mention to the dealers that you want the bigger spoiler they should be able to fit it for you ![]() |

Offline | The spoiler that you mention with no gap is the Aero kit spoiler. I too would like to fit this spoiler but the carbon fiber version The dealers don't want to order any parts for the S without an S chasis, I found this out when trying to get parts for my bumpers. SOLD |

Offline | Many thanks for both posts; its interesting to know you can only order an Cooper S part if you have an S chassis number. Looks like a search then from other suppliers, though could be expensive to get it sprayed in Astro black. Aero spoiler it is then! Hang on isn't that a contradiction of words; Aero kit would imply it is aerodynamic, and yet the aero spoiler without the gap would create much more rear drag! |

Offline | Amongst the many discussions about how the back of Mini's attract dirt there was a rising general opinion that the Cooper S was the worst. We could only put this down to the spoiler. Owners who fitted a (non-S) spoiler to ones and Coopers didn't appear to be any worse off. All very unscientific but something to consider when making your choice. ![]() Some people are like a Slinky ........ not really good for anything, but you still can't help but smile when you shove them down the stairs |

Offline | Recently i asked my dealer the same as you and they priced the spoiler in 218€. Guess that after painting and installing it , it'll make a total of 300€-325€ PS: better option, find it at ebay and put it yourself (that's what i'll do...when i found one :S:S)Italian Job's minis...that's a Mini! |
